    Government Law College (GLC), established in 1855, has the distinction of being the oldest Law College in Asia, dating even prior to the University of Mumbai, and enjoys a pre-eminent reputation for excellence in the field of legal educationThis university boasts of providing practical exposure of law field through moot court room sessions, guest lectures of eminent personalities and debate and discussion on may issues.     ABOUT THE MOOT COURT COMPETITION



    To give exposure to students pursuing the law course to the environment of the court system in India and to hone their advocacy skills and to provide a real-life experience cum training in doing cutting edge research, presenting ground breaking arguments and contributing to the development of law related to various fields, the GLC Mumbai is organizing 28th MC Chagla Memorial GLC Mumbai National Online Moot Court Competition, 2021 in association with Chief Justice MC Chagla Memorial Trust, on 25th & 26th September, 2021. This moot is conducted as a tribute to legacy of MC Chagla.

    TEAM COMPOSITION AND ELIGIBILITY

    1. A team shall comprises of 3 members only out of which 2 are speakers and 1 is legal researcher.
    2. Only bonafide students of a 5 year law course or 3 year course are allowed to register.

    REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

    1) The last date of registration is 7th August 2021, 11:59:59 PM. 

    2) The registration fee is ‘ Rupees 1800 Per Team only

    3) The registration shall be done by sending a mail to mcchagla.glc@gmail.com from respective college side. After sending the mail for registration, confirmation mail along with registration form and payment details is sent by organizing authority.

    And,

    Pay the registration fee via NEFT transfer. No other method shall be accepted. Teams have to borne additional charges for making the transfer (if any).  Attach the screenshot of your payment while filling the registration form.

    3) The registration shall be considered complete only when the ‘Registration Fee’ has been paid successfully and the registration form is duly filled with all the credentials.

    4) The participants will receive an official approval mail from organizing committee within few hours of their registration.

    5) The organizing committee shall communicate the unique team codes to each team through mail which shall be quoted by the teams for further communications with the organizing committee.

    6) Registration fee once paid is non-refundable.

    7) The number of participating teams shall be limited to 16. The preference to teams shall be given in order of their registration.

    • Last Date of Seeking Clarifications:  12th August 2021
    • Release of Clarifications:  18th August 2021
    • Last Date of Memorial Submissions(Soft Copy): 3rd September 2021
    • Last Date of Compendium Submissions: 25th September 2021
    • Competition Rounds: 25th September 2021 and 26th September 2021
